The Focus this February here at NATPATH CLINIC will be all about SELF CARE awareness.
What does SELF CARE mean?
According to the dictionary Self Care is defined as:
- The practice of taking action to preserve or improve one’s own health
- The practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress.
I like both definitions very much and although they seem to say the same thing I find that they also differ in an interesting way. The first definition is more general and a long term action/commitment – it’s a practice in itself. The second definition is more specific and it provokes the need to urgently intervene and protect.
Where are you finding yourself at this present moment in your life?
Are you leaning more towards the gentle daily practice of Self Care or is there a need to quickly intervene and protect? What does you Self Care list / practice look like?
As a Naturopath and Health Coach, my focus on Self Care practice for my clients and myself looks like this:
I shall be addressing all these points through short videos during the month of February through my social media portals – Instagram & Facebook.
I have already shared my thoughts on the topic of the importance of WATER and LUNCH BREAKS.
If you wish to see them, here are the links.
We are also running a promotion on Relaxing Massage this month.
We have now introduced a gift voucher if you would like to gift a caring treatment to a loved one – Valentines day is around the corner.
Talking about love, SELF CARE stems from SELF LOVE so maybe for this month alone focus on showering yourself with love, even on Valentine’s Day. It will help you make a habit of it 🙂
Before I go I would like to leave with this beautiful poem by Lang Leav.
Yours in health,
